Add airport fantastic these days cause that's just not many people there, airplanes are another story their tiny or at least for the current space we all need their really tiny and their worrying in terms of the masks and touching and it's, that's my sound my spooky halloween airplane travel during corona the same who.
Looking around here and amsterdam is the how people are, caring themselves during the luck pusher lockdown hotspot time and small differences that mean there are more masks when you go in places that are more signs about only one or two people allowed inside but at the same time many people without masks many it doesn't even seem like a political statement its just kind of a i didn't think of it it's still still a thing.
Yeah yeah wonder how long how long before you start to see results left portugal there was an announcement i guess because i the holiday some kind of holiday weekend that you aren't allowed to leave your municipality without a pressing need iheartradio central job family member and that was only the last three days so.
Set volume to anything i mean if you wanna how long this shit take at least you have to wait at least two weeks to see any kind of change. Add that's just turning around the train and then you'll need another two weeks. If you're doing fine tune to get the dynamics down to, no value no below one and you could probably even extended soul, basically i think we're most done with this year. I think twenty twenty is mostly all over and us only a single thing that everybody wants from this year. What's happening next week and that's what were talking about now.
Election you know when it gets this close it's very hard because we this whole campaign starts like two years before the actual election in the united states and then we are days away, from the presidential election the united states senate that is included election and, this is the big final revolving placating for and then some cases we really wanna get this over with i think tired i'm tired of polls tim i don't look at them today show.
So yeah tuesday is the day of memory serves that's when i love you to vote when i was a resident of the united states long long ago but indeed where in the year of the early voting and i've early voted as reported to you on the previous show i can confirm that my i sent the proof my vote via mail whatever good that does i did check in with a few friends of mine and friends that are american soldier other countries and it's all very different depending on what state your voting in weather not you can do it via email with her not you need to send something by post malone so anybody who's been watching the headlines any major media will have seen some kind of headline the last week or two record numbers early voting i mean it make sense there's recording hoopers of early voting for two reasons let's say i'll start with the coronavirus many people are not going two the pools there's even think that was a lack of color workers since there usually the older people of society. Add of course many states even expanded the possibility two vote by mail so of course for the wire record numbers well there's something about this donald trump that gets people motivated add so maybe this could also be a reason that other people are very motivated to vote for the man or people are very voted motivated vote add the man out also record numbers everyone keeps reporting and saying look at that butt something.
Yes correct you go to the polls maybe after work yeah yeah that's right that's not a national holiday it's not the only country like that but it's one of the few yes i don't know what it is about voting that the united states has not wanted well that is maybe too many people to vote the argument, somehow like you know if you been watching social media dear listeners i'm sure you seen people say anything but one of them get out and vote, vote vote part of that is this idea that the more people that vote, the more more your heart the government is representation of other people but i think there's also this idea that, more voters is better for biden, end better for democrats less people being able to vote seems to work out better for republicans i don't have any data supports in front of me many many experts and wise people have, set this sings one way or another over the years so effect there's record voting, mike everything is might right now might in the cade advantage for democrat candidates on all levels, right.
Yeah numbers are really breaking all the rules words i mean after justin a few florida when it comes to yung people voting. I'd like eight thousand fourteen. Like in two thousand sixteen was like in the six digits. Is pretty impressive but we all that we have left to be very careful individuation. Hope.
No i mean ready for anything that's that's my i think that's my attitude anything is possible in which is impressive in a world are so many things seem like it's a done deal you can't win it's already been decided but indeed when it comes to this and maybe some previous elections. Morris possible that i probably realized many many years ago it's just don't know you just because i mean if you look at this on this program and it's the question how do you, right what are you using tu pull people and their been lots of jokes that example that you use landlines right if you pull exclusively if you did losing landlines than you are getting very cute population maybe some other method but there's always these you know how is the pull conducted what's the margin of error end sally we don't know that that's in small print after really read into it but what you see is the headline of the pool and we continue to see that i mean i've really had it headlines from respected newspapers because they all these days say by dean ahead by the head bitten has in a ten point five point and what for years ago talk to me is these things could be completely wrong and work, especially when i'm a man name trump is involved in i think he really just defies logic so often. Name your criteria fail businesses shouldn't you should be able to continue and say your success, reasons why this mentioned not have succeeded and yet has it's not so even are we see all these polls that were make you feel good, some of us ok bye is in the lead it should be good to be in the lead i think that there is a natural and logical fear based on experience among other things that says, this is not a done deal.
So for example netherlands, community of several hundred people and smeyeul americans right in this american segment, out in the world overtime and we all talk right we have a refund this year have a group, on chat so that we can coordinate does anyone many questions did you helping each other what are you trying to figure out about the americans abroad if we can make a difference.
Yes i'm not really a big, send i don't do that i don't do i do not bother people about voting honestly i think it's your business i think not voting this is not gonna be very popular i think not voting is a legitimate action, add the problem is nobody made me know that you are doing it has part of some kind of prostration is part of some statement or you just didn't but i think that not voting i wish you loved me or sorry if we are citizens of a country where you could vote blank say something so that is registered many countries have that. We have that new us, you got a vote you got a vote like me having just said i don't think you have to vote will anger a lot of people that americans are not americans i get it i'm just telling you i, i think it's also right now to vote i think it's sometimes get annoyed with the what it is become kind of this is how you're a good person, vote and if you don't you a bad person and i i don't i don't want to share i don't share that opinion honestly but i am very weird person so most people say no you gotta voted that's what you get these app groups that's why indian people call each other if we're gets out at someone didn't vote you might get hate mail.
Yeah that since i can understand someone being angry with even just meet specifically saying it's all right not a voting people like but i am dreaming and i don't even get a choice notify like i get it i get it it's really loud situation this american nation i don't think the average american thinks about their theyre there friends in other countries saying it all, i gotta also do this because they need us it's a great point because it does effect so many people i need bitten in his decent democrat would i just watch the interview on sixty minutes with by alizzz confused are your friends another countries are walking away from us like i don't know we can't really on these people interesting, but but in the end the selections continue to come back to the whole idea of america american exceptionalism i mean look how many candidates regardless what level will say this is the greatest country in the world, we are the hardest working where the most clever on the one you can say these are just cliche it's no big deal but i think a country that, leave this cliches is insecure and find it annoying appreciated country that will say were not the best.
I think this time this so much is it safe because i mean maybe maybe that's just my personal viewpoint but it's also a feeling i have for i say jump in the least if not your open total it's. Is the americans are unable to get rid of this disaster there unable to stabilize their country. You're just going to walk away i'm in this time for real because they, can no longer trust this is like nothing to put your money on anymore and i think we're already pass the the point of will you could say that guy just wait for me years and then. No this is going to be better desai has already struck and we could just can't take it anymore and this is going to road back a lot of, put things that have happened in the last decade and an unexpected the end of the west this time.
Absolutely america is not doesn't matter who selected america's not a country you can rely on world as a leader as innovative no you can't it happens sometimes there certainly pockets examples there kinds of good things but, it's not it's not even if. Even if biden wins in the world get into the senate the moment in four years you don't know what's coming next, and you don't even know if it's gonna come from the republican party, is it gonna come from another party is gonna come from the democrats really don't know i don't think you can rely on the country world power decline educational system that is, i need you know some place some parts are nice some parts to work at all i know what this education is the people are getting. So i don't think you can rely on the us no matter what happens next week. I think it's important in away trump has pushed this forward but it's it's been a long time coming from i'm in the gulf war in two thousand three. Is it clear you cannot really in the united states it is not an enlightened country anymore not not that kinda girl, many others basically and the suffers on the same problems we all do now germany netherlands with this sort of, set the pride and ignore i see it here in the netherlands is a certain pride in we don't care about the science we don't, we don't care about helping everyone we help ourselves we exist in germany too, and so america is in the same rut accepted it's bigger and it's always been louder and it had a different position i guess.
Yeah you can't escape. No and then there for my heart goes out to all of us that are in the united states but we live in their shadow my god you know it getting letters about my bank account in in europe head case the american discovered i'm here, add for years i didn't i didn't mentioned much that i was living here.
I think i think everyone has to be prepared and i think you really are deep down you're prepared, i have friends who have made kind of serious statements about if trump is related ranges from a leave the country. Which i would say you show thought about that for years ago anyway but ok for years later ok second term but even have friends to talk about harming themselves, if trump wins rather than life three four more years and it it worries me now you don't say that, which is good but i think that people need to be prepared and need to not rest their hope for the world in the future on what happened this election really like you we cannot look to these people, they are not in a weather is trevor byron we gotta be able to.
No i mean it's not not here it's not done looking for a savior here and i know that bitten isn't isn't that just exchanging one person or an administration alone, help thanks but it's also abiding win or trump last would also give significant signals also two countries like uk. How angry poland you know that the the populism just gets you so just not very far. Add theresa point listen into it some sooner or later and that's pretty what.
I know it's heartbreaking it's is. Any idea that that this is so much more powerful than this and that they win and then, the carry on it no i was watching this sixty minutes interview with trump is sitting there and i don't know why but they do these closeups are you really look at this man's face and you hear every word he says and, honestly like i can't stand it this man keeps. Thanks that he is great and he in his world view is on one point ask him the interview let's be still ask, do you think what is it about people that vote for you were that i love you what's the profile and he says i'm gonna things it's people who love this country, which implies that if you don't vote for trump you hate this country it's silly like why can't we be friends this man could win has won and could win again definitely drive me crazy i'm not saying i don't, really dislike what happened but i think what's really hard and i'm always, try to just embrace the truth is that no matter what happens, trump supporters never mind trump supporters of ideas that trump has still on top of they will continue to exist i'll be back i don't know if it in four eight years but they will be back in different forms and that hurts that sad end this nothing right now in on the mediate moment that's gonna really change that but you write election wedding certainly matters and send the signal and i hear you in terms of like if he didn't want you feel better.
Sixty minutes is on cbs which is a commercial network like many commercials networks you know it's long and decline in terms of popularity what keeps you up at night end sixty minutes has always benefited from the few things one they're actually journalists working at sixty minutes and actually take time to take an hour sixty minutes and they sort of hardtalk for for the fans of british journalism but it's it's your supposed to be able to ask hard questions and spend more time it comes on after, american football finishes on sunday at least the regular time games are still night game. What other channels this is always significant because of you watch football as millions do, towards the end of midway through the keep saying sixty minutes coming up next i'm not saying that sixty minutes is powered by football watchers but that's one source it has the financial support of that network which is significant it's not over liberal project but these days as you know journalism that involves investigation, is labeled a liberal project so there we go sixty minutes i guess not liberal trump certainly has astronaut in, and so there's a tradition that the week before the election the presidential candidates in the vice president of the presidential candidates they all get interviewed interview by different members of this stuff you know one of them a anderson cooper is on the stuff we did interview any these candidates this time.
That's right he is so it's kind of like getting an award that of a job like he is on cnn he's respected is done well, and then he's able to also on weekends sixty minutes for me it's a sign of a journalist that has sort of at least for television been given a like a high fighting award there we go, for your hard work here now member of sixty minutes not the eighteen of television journalism so.
Yeah yeah and unlike maybe some of the journalists he i think he's been pretty overt of not not being a big fan of the current administration i don't think i hate that anyway so what also matters in sixty minutes is your age, how many years have been there and at this point leslie stahl probably the most senior member, unless scott kelly has a lot of surgery which bradley has but.
She did the interview with trump and pence, i think laura o'donnell and her last name is donald she's more to me on sixty minutes she did and biden the reason this got a lot of attention this time around because this does happened every for years but i got a lot of attention be closed trump walked out. Add when he walked out he said that she was she's being she's asking difficult questions she's asking she's being fade out other stuff.
Unlike. He's biggest thing, is that his many big things but what is that vixen doesn't get ask if difficult questions and it is actually a decent point, but the way he brings up all the time and the way it just gets lost in the whole on all the noise because interesting if you watch this interview play then again by dnce not the president and biden hasn't been the president during what's been going on the last four years so it away like it what trump doesn't like so cold hard questions and it's a very hot thing because is pretty standard even for the climbing journalism to still have some questions you don't answer them anyway but trump has a policy if i don't like the question their bad questions right so that happened add he walked out i don't remember somewhere around the discussion of it was it was piling on because she had asked you can ask questions at one point she said you know you having these big rallies and of course i said there the biggest never seen fine i heard their smaller but ok. And he says but people don't wear masks don't you think for someone write coronavirus that you would be encouraging them to actually put on mask this is a weird am i being weird questions anyway the man says listen i'm not have anything against masks i tell people to wear masks we give out mask that rallies and she says without wearing them and he says i don't understand why this is the biggest, question for this guy because this guy deserves much many harder questions this is the stuff nothing, is it hot.
You got like fifteen minutes of trump if you can hear the lacs and then he walked out he what was the last thing she remembers having interviewed him before i guess maybe it was before he ran the first timer as he was running for his first term hopeless last she and him something about why do we call it fake news and he said them when she brought up with that was interesting i call it fake news so i discredit you as much as possible and so that when you say something bad about me nobody believed you anyway she said that she said she said in your words and he goes no i just call you fake because your fake and bad wolves words. Against it doesn't work but.
He is he has a certain smoothness to him that is disturbing and i'm not saying it's appealing i'm saying. He can do a fifteen minute interview and say nothing but you're going what did you say something, like it's i found watch the interview is short actually and i found it on comfortably easy for him to say nothing, i mean more traditional scares me a little the politician that people look too like well he had this important job so you must be good republican's my really around him and i wonder, how far you can go but anyway that was the sixty minutes bitten came on. Pretty good for a minute.
Hurry review for slushii she left a lot maybe we do that lot at the questions i mean. What is say that. So she left a lot i guess what else can you do but i wish she wouldn't i will i wish she wouldn't cause i think you don't realize when you being recorded if you keep leaving me through answers it destructing from your answers actually but what is significant me and we have touched on, you heard this argument trump makes that bitten is trojan horse for radical socialists you insert your label. So the journalists says loro donald says, are you are you a socialist are you up radical and she loves again unfortunate come alive, what am i am i don't i'm not in any of those labels that he throws on me i refuse them i am a stone of us our daughter of an indian women i am a child of immigrants i am a black woman and so she brought up all these life, things about her which is fine but what she's very careful, is it painful she never says of alma progressive she will they asked about healthcare it weather not enough push, in her time if she had a chance would she tell by we should have healthcare for all and she she says no i'm following joe's plan on i believe in joe's plant, bugs me about camila here and that's simply the wishes of believe it or not two progressive i wish she would just say it it's not joe's plan but if i could i would feel nothing, being seen as radical of being scenes progressive don't wanna be tied to ac or bernie their camila. You see her dancing to get away from it and is disappointing cuz. I mean the great raid weinstein says healthcare for all is no longer a democrat thing a lot of people want this y be scared of it but they won't this kind of conservative voters that no longer wants to go for trump. But needs to hear conservative stuff and joe budden is a cocomelon i mean i was watching a documentary about his life turn on planet policies in his life where he was kinda progressive that wasn't me shifts with with wind within the democratic umbrella but still democratic party umbrella.
Yeah i watched interview with alexandria ocasio-cortez between call. Which find the most brilliant politician. For listen to america i mean she's just fantastic amazing person, who was also, pushing her will not that hard but you know i'm not quite remember what the question was busy was all about like the progressive disappointed by you know having by nezza candidate because it doesn't really represent. The values of progressive liberal whenever so list people under interesting question to ask her because you know everybody knows she's progressive as you can be, intimate a good points set will you know in the end the question is who are going to lobby with your ideas, yes i'm going against trump than you know what chances you have but once bitten this band administration is formed it's totally open i think she's absolutely right because you mentioned many people not want healthcare many people i mean things that have been, totally out of the question in the american discussion about politics like the healthcare not this not the only thing was probably most prominent thing, five years ten years ago was totally and unheard of the other two can even bring this up at now it seems to be common sense and i think, same could happen to discussions around gun rides and black lives matter protests everything that, can be associated with racism in general these things are now on the table somewhere question is going to, end a new constellation where you can actually discussing things are there just. Impossible from the start so i think that's a good point to make an doesn't matter much i think, what is a hope that those people who you know i didn't vote for hillary clinton because they want burn in hell something candidate and then she can't get enough voice that's not something that's very likely to be repeated this time people understand that i'm just getting this are the worst.
Yes yes yeah that's true that's true understand that i would like to see that is actually with so i mean, that's the sixty minutes interview that one of the big questions i needed you know how to progressives feel about this candidate but i think you just said it and it was set it, progressives are voting for bibio but their hoping that in the years to come that the doors, open snapchat is not a trojan horse right it's the way possibly government to a party even works you have different ideas within a political party so my be more dominant but it doesn't mean they're not others.
Set his his appointment actually have some hope i mean i'm real not not in a position that i don't really know the american public, american soul, close sleep in the other way for the world americas been an open book for a long time. Where has been sharing so much of culture through movies and others exposures on many levels that. You are so gotta feeling off. Things the happening and think that are some hole movie on because even if these depressing time what would you get you know many many states have now adopted a policy that allows for same sex marriage. Is marijuana being sold legally in many states and it's a new business it's not going away so all those. Things that i usually call progressive stuff and it's just happening even in the world of all time so. I have that feeling that wants there's a new politics constellation and we're going to talk about the senate a few. That i think that things could accelerate pretty quickly than in another direction. That's i find this totally a possible in the that it gets his own dynamic somehow and just because. Believe in the us. It's like the world's greatest country indiana affront. I think most people know this is no longer true but they wanted to be true. I'm not only by pretending but actually achieving it some getting out of the jacket.
Yes that's a great point i mean it does give me hope i'm not completely hopeless about. Life after this election it didn't come through i do not think the sky falls no matter what happens this week, i just refuse i refuse to think that now i did just announce the us but that's just because i want to be realistic but i agree and i really admire what you just said a lot of interesting good things good for people, all over the world not just within the us can still come out of the us will. But it did you know when you have this leadership this representatives that are so in your face that are so and they have power i mean no it doesn't annoying it gets counterproductive it's not a great thing that they would continue to win and dominate discussions nba able to if we move now just briefly to the the streets supreme court for example be able to influence los nachos for the next four years but for yuno decades to come i mean that that is a problem that comes out of things like elections yeah so i need here we are, just about to begin november, initiate women covering here since we returned with our wonderful news of the world amy coney barrett is, what today's the day do the official weather she came out of the recommended, did i miss the nomination anyways happening.
Yeah so she is now in the senate has voted for which me some public is totally ignored everything i love interesting point made somebody. This is some how mitch mcconnell the leader of the senate republicans part of senate his lifetime achievement. Is this is something that you always wanted to know a strong majority in the supreme court and. Give me the even if he might lose his seed or if the republicans lose the majority or even if they win the majority. Put now step back and say that i'm done enough and also this is a move. Find him by fighting the through the summer fields is giving the finger trump which it doesn't really like you know. I don't think he really likes trump is just like his.
Take use two used to the the trump way the power so yeah yeah but i mean it would be life accomplishment because, three in in four years three supreme court justices that, allegedly we're gonna follow your parties policies. That that's an impact goes well be on getting a president elected or even a senator they do seem to last forever but still, play really staying there a long time so it that way mitch mcconnell shaped, states in the world more than trump self, but it doesn't quietly behind the scenes well quietly so it's all happening was really nothing. Big that quit stop in this time around and when there was something big like in the kavanaugh nomination where the record was crap still still got there so there it is.
I've been avoiding five thirty eight until tonight have been avoiding five thirty eight most of the last four years the way i want the new york times for a while because of the trump election right, what is impressive to look at it is, interesting in anyway there's something open about the fact that like you said there not saying that set it is gonna go democrat their just showing, there's. Hey a chance that it could happen in how much of a legend of a chance that even try to project pat easier projections based on polls and india recent shift even over the last two weeks since the beginning of october, sorry that's more than two weeks but still october interesting month because even here on this program we have been looking at pulls that said well it's too close to call now there more more signs that it could go democrat or at least it the idea of a set it with democratic majority event just one more possible perhaps that was a few weeks ago.
I'd like to ask you some questions because looking at the us as a whole is always complicated and the fifty states or distantly should be fifty two officially fifty, can you rope it's a very divorce field and you can't ready compare all these days easily i'm so if we look at the numbers for five thirty eight giving they are listening all the seats that are possibly flipping out democrats or at least one by democrats, show can i see what the weather was before we could move from. So well first of all the two seats and i think it's the only yes the only state where the two seats actually up for election. Why is that because he lives only want somebody who died in georgia.
It's a special election with i don't know why it's often because someone is appointed do something or someone retires i do not know why there's a special election we have the same thing couple years ago with arizona which one i have to talk about i don't i don't remember why georgia job. I don't work on it for the next few minutes.
So i mean look georgia gave us jimmy carter. Democrat a liberal democrat georgia gava the first. I want to see the first african american center but it may not be correct omaha georgia has atlanta, which is significant i mean first of all the large city atlanta also an important economic engine home to company's like, do not coca cola amazon.
Amazon has the two hubbs riverside i don't even remember, where they ended up being respond to be new york and then chased out of new york but anyway that is a large black population in atlanta end traditionally you know politically active electing officials also social movements civil rights movement st george is always been important but you also get this tradition of, republican conservative old money, if you want to take it further there's of course you mentioned slavery there's racism i'm not saying state of georgia is a racist state or anything like that but it's interesting because you can have these two extremes you can have very progressive democrats from places like nachos atlanta but there's also, where the university of georgia is also progressive city and forgetting the name of athens georgia so. How were people are more progressive and activate the exist but, it also has part of the reason why the state can be so back and forth why is it from four to eight years maybe not in a senate seat of this year we do have a chance with the us off set it for the sea that also win. The interstate that has both, let's see both extremes or it has both parties have a a source of popularity and politics divided along the starting line so georgia's interesting because it could indigo democrat now is projected also is play some paul's ahead by two points ahead by one point it's close but it seems that he could pull it off we also see that candidates are visiting more and more, presidential candidates event to try and help the trying, galvanize the vote there so it's become an important battleground state is not the only one but it is one of the big i don't know five possible democrat i guess its an upset so can be a democratic upset.
Another again corn, so in iowa i mean again iowa is a state that even though you look at it and we joke i joke about farming, it's also state that surprises you with us politics it's long benefited from this position as the first place where i caucus takes place so as long as this presidential race has been, we have, i always first in the whole discussion of who's gonna be the candidate for ider party well in this case for the democrats so iowa can't be lumped in the society with all midwestern states even can't be loved in us always conservative because there's a long tradition of being picky politically becky hill farming of course significant and there's always battle for years two years with congressional seats to try and curry favor with farmer's of lately trump tried to save course that, he has really helped farmer's with getting them especially versus china resort then benefitting with other subsidies or i think it's largely been subsidies lately close, like europe actually but let's focus on iowa farmers get a lot of government subsidies and even. In the program not progressive in the democratic world farmer's also always trying to be charmed entrance democrats trying show that their benefiting farmer's even in the world of green energy there's been an attempt to say iowa and korn could play a key rolling things like biofuels which i know there's plenty of people rightfully so that would say biofuels or not green energy but, it's been any interest farmer's in in the midwest in places like iowa to say that it is and if you can do that as democratic party or is it you know if there were any kind of, big energy pitch then you could potentially get pharmacy support the democratic party so for the democrat party, so iowa is interesting lee a toss-up politically but key often historically and india.arie sitting in pretty much middle of the road field and air i don't know much about these individuals i know the democrat greenfield is slightly favorite but it's i mean it's a deadlock it's it's practically fifty fifty but there's learning five thirty eight has the meaning. I guess democrat right now.
Are there also have main leading democrats that's interesting because it's senators susan collins. Who has been making little bit news in the last year's because it is she is always being considered to be like the one who could, pause please flipper decision by the senate but neva actually did anything so she was constantly voting with but mitch mcconnell was from promoting, add indians i wasn't really any help and now it looks as if her citizen danger doom might be punished for this behavior.
Well so there playing of exceptions but the larger thing is that yesterday the east coast is, is more democrats in mini things but you can't forget that the east coast also has a tremendous amount of wealth and so there are places you can see this if you look at a congressional nap in the house there places where wealthier individuals live, there you go find plenty of powerful democrats my dear new jersey has plenty of powerful republican sorry republican congress people. Even the always have a normal story democrat senators maine is a place again politically less predictable say that a massachusetts that's in the in the neighborhood but more progressive but never underestimate the power of the east coast republican to hold a seat the way susan collins has there's always the battle also with environmentalism versus people who just wanna have low taxes and have to be able to have a big get away or i'm gonna say getaway house but it also just be residents there other lots of very well feat places in place name where people are gonna vote for the republican indie collins is considered a sort of important figure in the republican party and stargate challenging and now legitimately challenging at least if you follow paul's even if you don't like. Pause their it's just interesting to see how many pills continue to put gideon ahead by either anything between one and twelve point queen of peace, used to be known for pull over ahead by twelve so this could be a major shift because main has been republicans place now it's also something to talk about living in a forest the ending a little bit iceland from from the rest of the world.
I'm gonna say no i mean their certainly someone out there from main is going what is the sky talking about. I only stop the maine on the refill airplanes back in the ' ninety s and eighties and i was a kid stop coming from portugal in bangor maine. That's so you can always project pat just because it is on the coast that it's going to be a progressive place part of what democrat place part of a mix places along the coast often vote democrat can also be a large immigrant population main has had its influxis of immigration but it hasn't been at the level of, take a pic new york new jersey massachusetts even connecticut which is on the east coast cancer praise you with republican powerhouses like the year the wife of wrestling society x, play a lot of people and would like to keep taxes low and would may even out right say we're pro this candidate that candidate employees should be too who is the person who's making your promises and how good those promises sound.
Yes i didn't there anything things last show we talk about arizona briefly and it's still happening this still a thing that that is set it in arizona looks like it's gonna go democrat that's pretty significant, trump is afraid of that so there's a this is interesting racist i've been hoping that lindsey graham with lose it doesn't look like it's gonna happen but i still considered possible, and yet.
No any think he's in line right so he is the head of the heart of the judiciary committee which saw him often. Body way you know it to get enough that will be wonderful thing but you could you could see cenario where joe budden win the presidency and the senate states republican, we can have the office stereo trump presidency the senate stays republican i mean the seneca b democrat some funny little things make it happen and it makes sense in some other way in a world where, politics and the penguins information or some marginalizing divided right everybody's in their own little bubbles end the other is wrong and people so passionate about it dead to me it doesn't shock me, it seems to match what we know is going on with our information with our public life. I'm sorry i took hope in that i could have. Set me to do that is interesting too bad so i don't know everything.
Of course we know when things are over there no longer over that's just going on and i've been thinking about possible aftermath so, what is the let's say let's go with what is in awe suggested by all these posts vitamins. Play focus on the other of the presidential election because it's the most hit the most emotional part of it.
What day of setup seemingly based on history and also based on recent words of the president whatever their worth what they could do is in specific states challenge account, i did see that in in florida they could try for example to stop the count, they could try to reduce account again it depends on what state, what underworld excuse but we've seen historically attempt to manage especially voted haven't been counted yet that maybe coming from for example military, this year especially is a big overseas ballet kind of year, even within the state there are states where you for a million dollar to be accepted it has to be post marked up until and including election day, no that means it may not arrive you know a day, remove in two days if things are really jamz so there could be an attempt to stop this from being counted we've seen some rulings already out of wisconsin. Saying for example first date to really say that you can't trying to say no counting of ballots the day after the election, not every state is gonna say that i don't know if that decision for wisconsin is gonna hold, that's what i said earlier this week so there gonna be attempt to ider stop the process i don't know if they can, attempted recount i know that was said in two thousand remember so the attack will be focused on. The actual balance are they can be thrown out for any reason i don't know where we are anymore with this technology but twenty years ago that was the time of hanging chads which meant someone they have sheets where you had to poke the paper and they didn't poke the paper completely through so it was half kind of tornado and half not and they were trying to get these boots thrown out. Because it didn't favor the republican candidate now what helps there is is the state of state government is it run by over publican or not that has an influence who you know who is the secretary of state so all these little factors could play a role in how much can the republican party do if they don't like the outcome and i guess how much the democratic party can do they dont like the outcome both parties could, i feel as though the republicans are more known for doing this especially cause trump has been foreshadowing this so much i saying that dirty mailman isn't reliable setting it up already. So will see a bunch of court cases maybe in multiple states or could just be in one state if that becomes the focus cuz you just said imaginary awards one state that makes a difference there gonna dedicate all there resources legally two finding a way to shake-up account to other throughout probably throughout vote, if it favors them and florida is there state republican wise so it could be repeat.
I mean you could you like they did last time i think they would. Democratic operative could say no way we're gonna fight. So i think i would accept it i think that there's i know what it is another reason the violation, documented throwing vote in hot in the garbage can you know how. What seems to matter especially in the media and what you know the population demands is what can you see and i remember two thousand and it was hard to really feel, what, violation in taking place me some people holding a piece of paper and try to figure out a chad was it was some of the most boring journalism ever people rolling papers and. If thats not again i have my dubstep the democrats would have enough energy resources.
So i mean the republicans happy ramping up the series for all possible outcomes in everybody knows the just going to go after. Everything the can get the tee stuck into democrats not so much. I think that a lot of things and some in particular on your probably already know what i'm trying to fox on now. Is the machinery that is used for voting. Not every state is doing it oven no real numbers but the a lot of states using voting computers.
Yeah reference something about you security in the last year i guess especially when it comes to russian groups invading computers to a group the content and you know. Give me bitcoin. Can do this with any operational computer that's run by a professional computer department. I can't do this with all star computers that are you know. God from the bar weather have been standing for a last two years and doing nothing and nobody was actually watching them. I have my doubts i really really annoyed by the thought that the you know something vote might be desired by the outkast love actually presented you to you by old computers.
Should be in addition review friends of this attack, level because i mean it's keep repeating myself but it's it's a basic sing first of all. You can't verify what is going on inside of this computer it's all software. Can you can't watch the computer doing his decisions let's the first point so from my point of view these things shouldn't even be there. No that not solving any problems but their opening up barney full step off new problems what you haven't even thought about, that's that's a first general problem so even if they these are like the most well-designed, machine with opensource system that have been verified by kinds of people in groups and you know everything is documentary even then, you can't. The dumb stuff you don't know what's installed on them wednesday running but these machines usually very dumb. Cheap pc with no security functionality and, this machine not in use on a daily basis these machines are actually starred in a pound and then road out two days before nobody knows was on this machine. I was republicans if i want to stephen election i would even. Do any heads on tv is expensive in over my head for the money spent on a few as, you can buy people and you don't need somebody.
Yeah, i don't know i don't know that one yeah i would agree that has not been much investigation about this in the last special last year, are even the last four years at least i haven't seen it maybe now that we mentioned it will come out someone this working on this very topic and has been for sometime i be curious to hear you.
Yeah this machine has been constantly being hacked on every akon you know every year and usually takes them like twenty seconds are in the damn so this is proving grounds and so. The problems problem another problem. That's something fine particularly problematic is the refuse back to what what i said positively about american society the general thing that everything is possible once you know get together and then they they do crazy stuff and then space x happens and tesla and what not but on the other hand. Also keep them looking away from severe problems some help because they are still deluded by the song that they can solve everything but also saying that they can solve this. Crisis which i would college prices does voting crisis by having a chosen computing machinery to collect for. So general i don't really see that many people actually ignored this is a problem but that's just me.
No it's it's cuz it's too complicated the country is it bit answer this week but they are still levert machines or some jazz that i recall from my childhood i better still out there including on the east coast no money was invested so that also bring up some of the very computers you're talking about but his houses some old fashioned crap out there too, call such a hodgepodge because the country so big and so little money is spent on the infrastructure of democracy in the country so it's it is.
Well look separate from what you just broke up which is huge i think we now live in arrowhead the paper and pen thing is also going to be abused or can be abused and it's own how i know you can witness that right unlike what you said about what happens inside of a computer during the transfering of data i think i even a timer you can witness somebody interfering with pen and paper i think we have now arrived a place where that can be some help. Push out of the instead of public sphere discredited i been watching some stories out of california that i still don't understand about fake boxes that were set up for people to put in their mail in ballots. Yeah that's sorry didn't get very big outside of california it i don't understand why that doesn't stop everything or nothing call something big.
I don't understand this two and that's it immediate problem but it gets notice. Did it gets notes and anderson paak sibyl to do large-scale voter fraud based on pepper balance because i need many many many people to corporate. Can you have so many ways of actually insuring the correct vote you just have to send transit people actually in august, riding down to tell you in posting it in an incomparable and india dumb that's how you can secure paper bag based voting system but you have computers not only can't you, do this you can't write down what computer is counting because i can see it. What is also you only need one person who knows the system and has access to it. I spend money on this person and you're dumb you know you can change the results in the way that you know doesn't really make them. No it doesn't stick out we've been talking about the senators within talking about results that like this like. Zero dot three percent more projected for one candidate if you just flip this in a computer nobody will take notice.
Yeah i know take a pic i mean what kind of a vitamin administration do you get what kind of policies do you get what are the priorities i think about the environment for example we know there's a city of returning to a lot of international agreements including the paris climate accord so we might see that the first few years but. There challenges that are out there for example obamacare in the supreme court that i think nobody wins this election, will see what the supremes say so yeah i yes that's the next big question that nobody wants to think about because the first battle is so big but it's coming which is, what is the the other vitamin d ministrations of david guetta senate they can work with that we just said would exist so now that means you can have it all the laws on your side potentially policies opportunity that's not so many presidents get but i don't know i don't know you know a lot of talk of including republicans the bidding ministrations now their tradition, from both parties before trump their would always be one kind of carryover, on the administration from the other party bizness talking about doing that and possibly more he's got these republicans like kpcc who wants ran against trump he's got wrong who's a sort of definitely been anti trump at different times in his career last few years.
Yeah is also part of ider trying to show because i think that is gonna be interesting this idea trying to bring hands together origin to put it better to bring people together regardless of party i mean i think i will try that, i don't know if the population of the country cares, even retaliated but yeah we're gonna see some republicans being involved at least i know the handler gonna be held out if if they take them so we're gonna see yeah very, interesting by del amitri something it will happen if they get the senate if the democrats get the senate then we're gonna see somebody's committees with some new old new faces for example the budget committee which has say over the budget of the federal government that could be head by bernie sanders, if the democrats, get the senate yes that's interesting i mean he's part of a committee but still to be head of the committee significant i think, there's talking about elizabeth warren and his an argument really possibly getting treasury, course the criticism this is too radical she's too not my words extreme. I still think it's just fast living that could happen.
She's a greeting for americans. Such a hippy hippy lady from germany's coming over she's retiring, so yeah one of the questions you know what is the administration pursuit first and also who who's gonna be on the team address, you know what's happened the last few years the tradition trumpets taken away far but obama the two of us executive orders you can't go through set you don't feel like it you're not time even if you do have a democratic senator this so many executive orders to be, i'm done that's gonna be house work so will be a painful time to be an internet the white house when biden wins so much work. Yes.
I listen i would be impressed and i can still be impressed by the united states but all i ever see when a president who is done some hannah stuff leaves office is they never get prosecuted and i bet trump is an any different, i did in a couple of years seen it all only quirky of citizen twitter and it seems impossible now i've seen this tradition in the united states if he goes out people be so happy from to be out and then a few years kina hollered him is an expresidents what did you do in the meantime that's your question i don't think there's much more for him to do he's gonna make a lot of noise of course and he's gonna set up his next career, i there is the ultimate opposition figure who i guess could run again when they, he's gonna do his other favorite thing which is get back into tv or if it's not tv it's gonna be some kind of twitter and social media that he likes but he wants to stay in the public eye and based on the popularity i think you can you know what those kind of numbers of supporters you could definitely have a channel with plenty of subscribers.
Yeah but he has violated every ruel on twitter the only reason this still alive or is this account still alive that he is we how did twitter put it something like. Historical relevance or whatever history because just because somebody needs to stay online but once losers drop. I'm pretty sure it's going to lose this twitter account this twitter account must go. Put this this twitter account must go.
It's amazing it's an amazing article it some of the best investigative journalism i've seen you sing the simple practice that i would teach if i were teaching journalism right now, get the documents show the documents do the math and the amount of money that the us government because of the white house spends on trump properties on trump things it's crazy they always have the events in the overcharge no interns and low level staff staying in the the luxury suites that cost three thousand and i mean it's it's hannah hannah stuff, turn off the prosecuting i'm saying another not gonna prosecuted, never have what you know george bush destroya country killed people with bomb coming out of the air and from the ground he paints portrait and people think he's kind of sweet.
I don't know where we're also i'll go back on i said where an era of wild i've never seen that before so, this could be something wild never seen before could be yeah i mean he has really burning bridges and away no one ever has who's gonna help i don't know. Decides to have his own little television channel with his people he's gonna stay relevant is gonna be like a sort of, alex jones until you now and then do they might try to ban him but he was this alex jones was president i don't know conspiracy channel hosted by donald trump.
I wake up early i will wake up early. Because because i love you just you know that i can't sleep but then all of a sudden a wake up thinking about this today so i'll be watching by, i don't know sometimes i prefer not to look in until it's all counted but i'll be looking in the morning for sure i don't know where i'll be looking, go old school i just watched the bbc a hundred because of you watch the washington post it's gonna be a constant this this now this we know this that is that maybe podcasts because they can't come out as fast, i'm not understanding please let my life goes on.
This is great seeing where i'm what is deep impact when was terrible meteor hits the earth films and morgan freeman is president and adam lambert anything about that film accept it goes live will go on. We will persevere time to go back to deepend pact and remember the words of morgan freeman president morgan freeman.
