NEWZ025 We Have Failed As A Nation

Olympics Rundown; Iran Earthquakes; First Deep-sea Mining Operation; Romney appoints Paul Ryan; German Bank Steps out of Food Speculation; South African Mining Strikes; Uruguay Proposes Legalizing Marijuana

The program was almost back to normal, but then Mark messed up his audio settings and this week we get newz plus some shaky sound on his side. Despite these setbacks this week we start with Olympics talk. From there its bad news from Iran with the latest twin earthquakes. This month also marks the beginning of deep sea mining around the world, starting in Papua New Guinea. In the US one wealthy white guy has chosen another wealthy white guy as his Vice Presidential candidate. Commerzbank of Germany takes itself out of the food speculation game. Rival unions in South Africa continue their violent clashes while the mining sector is also in an odd state. Uruguay is set to become the first country to both produce and distribute marijuana legally. And to wrap it all up we discuss the call for more debate or disagreement on the program. Hooray!
